KUCHING: The 2012 Budget that was announced by the Prime Minister Datuk Seri Mohd Najib Tun Razak yesterday was regarded as a concerned budget.

Batang Lupar Member of Parliament Datuk Hajah Rohani Haji Abdul Karim said that the people must welcome the budget with positive mind because most of it was meant to help the people.

“This is a very good budget and it was for every level of people in the country starting from children to old folk, where all levels of people are to enjoy the benefits from the budget,” said Rohani.’ While for the women, said Rohani, the budget is an encouragement for them to be involved in small and medium industries (SMEs).

“Our Prime Minister also showed his concern about innovation by adding the allocation for innovating purposes,” added Rohani.

She also said that, in order for us to reach the developed and high income nation, innovation is one of the important elements that we should focus on.

For education, Rohani said parents should now be thankful by the repeal of the school fees where all this while the fees had given a burden to the parents.

“This is such a good budget for the people and I am sure all of the people will feel relieved with all the benefits announced by the Prime Minister,” added Rohani who is also Deputy Minister of Domestic Trade, Cooperatives and Consumerism.
